 I Wish I Could Talk

I wish I could talk to tell you my mind,

I'd tell you I'm sweet, loving and kind,

When you walk by looking for a new dog,

You always seem to miss me as I sleep like a log,

But I just want a home with a cuddle or two,

And in return I will love you true,

I wish I could talk to say this to you,

I'd tell you I'm faithful and friendly too,

I'll be there to comfort you when you're down,

to make you smile and rid you of a frown,

So please say hello to me and take me away,

And I will love you always 'til my dying day,

I wish I could talk to tell you every day,

I'd tell you I love you for taking me away,

But now I know that actions speak louder,

To have you as an owner, I couldn't be prouder,

Now I'm glad I can't talk, I'll just listen to you,

Just know I'll be with you in all that you do.
